Dales Academies Trust

On July 1st 2019 we joined the Dales Academies Trust. The Trust was formed on 12th September 2017. It is a Multi Academy Trust (MAT) with sponsor status, established initially for the northern church schools or the Church of England Dioceses of York and Leeds. The Trust currently comprises of one Secondary church academy – All Saints in Ingleby Barwick; and thirteen Primary schools – South Otterington C of E Primary, St Francis of Assisi C of E Primary, Trinity Academy Eppleby Forcett, Trinity Academy Middleton Tyas, Trinity Academy Richmond, Ainderby Steeple C of E Primary, Barton C of E Primary, Croft C of E Primary, East Cowton C of E Primary, Kirby Fleetham C of E Primary, Ravensworth C of E Primary, Carnagill Community School and us.

The Dales mission is “To be a Multi Academy Trust for North Yorkshire and the north of the Dioceses of York and Leeds, determined to deliver the very highest quality of education through collaboration, shared best practice and underpinned by our Christian ethos and values.

The Trust is open to church and non-church schools with a core purpose of providing an inclusive education for children of any ability, culture, gender, sexuality, faith or no faith. The Trust ethos is derived from, and informed by, the Church of England’s commitment to education and schooling over more than 200 years; the Trust closely adheres to the Church of England’s policy of ‘church schools for all’ rather than ‘faith schools for some’.
